Overview
The Last-Mile Spoilage Trap is a web-based aid coordination platform designed to reduce food waste and improve the delivery of essential supplies during emergencies. It connects donors, relief shelters, and volunteers through a centralized system that matches available donations with actual shelter requirements. The platform considers quantities, safety deadlines, volunteer availability, carrying capacity, and estimated travel time to help ensure that aid reaches the right people on time. It also supports delivery tracking, route planning, notifications, and failure recovery when a volunteer becomes unavailable or shelter requirements change. With support for selected offline operations, the platform aims to make relief coordination more reliable, efficient, and accessible, especially in situations where resources are limited and connectivity is unreliable.
