ShelfLine connects donors, volunteer riders, and shelters in real time. It assigns riders only to deliveries that can arrive before expiry, splits large batches across riders and shelters, and treats food already on the road as committed so no shelter is overfilled. Riders send automatic heartbeats, claims expire on their own, and a pre-alerted backup takes over when someone goes quiet. Every trip has fallback shelters computed in advance, so a closed shelter means an instant reroute. Unsafe item and shelter pairs are blocked and re-checked on every reroute. If no person can receive the food in time, safe food is redirected to animal shelters. It works offline with queued actions and SMS replies, and includes a chaos panel and decision log for testing failures live.
