Overview
ResQRoute — Intelligent Surplus & Emergency Aid Coordination Platform
ResQRoute is a real-time civic logistics platform designed to reduce the loss of usable donated food and essential emergency supplies by coordinating donors, volunteer riders, and receiving shelters.
Unlike a basic donation-matching application, ResQRoute treats aid distribution as a dynamic logistics problem. It considers expiry deadlines, rider capacity, shelter demand, storage and supply dependencies, and changing conditions to determine whether a delivery is feasible and how resources should be allocated.
The platform intelligently splits oversized donations across available riders and shelters, prioritizes time-sensitive supplies, and prevents over-allocation. If a volunteer fails to respond or a shelter becomes unavailable, ResQRoute triggers recovery workflows to release eligible reservations, recalculate delivery options, or flag shipments requiring human intervention.
A centralized operations dashboard provides visibility into donations, riders, shelters, shipment status, and exceptions. A simulation environment enables judges to test challenging scenarios such as expiring reservations, shelter closures, incompatible supplies, and failed deliveries.
Core objective: Ensure that the right aid reaches the right destination through feasible, capacity-aware, and deadline-conscious coordination.
ResQRoute aims to make every safe, usable donation count by combining intelligent allocation, operational safety checks, and resilient last-mile coordination.
