Overview
LastMile-Aid is a real-time civic logistics platform designed to reduce the wastage and misallocation of perishable food, medical supplies, ration kits, water, and other essential aid. It connects donors, NGOs, shelters/relief camps, volunteer riders, and citizens to efficiently move aid from surplus locations to places where it is actually needed.
The platform intelligently considers shelter demand, rider capacity, expiry time, distance, and compatibility requirements before assigning deliveries. Large donations can be automatically split into smaller batches and distributed among multiple riders. If a rider becomes unresponsive or a shelter becomes full or unavailable, LastMile-Aid can recover the batch, reassign the rider, and dynamically reroute the delivery to a suitable alternative destination.
The platform also supports expiry countdowns, failed-delivery management, compatibility checking, demand-aware allocation, rider credit/reliability scores, NGO profiles, volunteer recruitment, citizen donations, and direct free-food availability from hotels, restaurants, wedding halls, and other food donors.
