Earmark

Earmark is group money that can only go where it was marked. A group collects for one named thing, and the destination is locked onchain the moment the collection opens. On a wallet drive the money goes straight there. Nobody can redirect it: not the collector, not us. The contract has no withdraw.

It runs as an agent on Celo. You reach it from a Telegram group, on the web with any Celo wallet, or from another agent over x402.

Who it's for: Anyone who currently has to trust a person to pass the money on. • A family in Lagos, São Paulo and New York paying Mum's rent in Buenos Aires • School fees, a hospital bill, or a group trip, locked to the wallet that should receive it • A compound's meter, or a parent's phone, which Earmark pays itself • A savings circle or an association levy, where this month's recipient is locked before anyone pays • A relative who will not install anything: they open the link and pay • Someone's own agent, paying their share with one command

What it does: • A drive collects any of 26 Celo stablecoins. When people hold a different coin, they pay in USD₮, USDC, USA₮, cNGN, wARS, wBRL, wCOP or IDRX and Earmark swaps it on Textile FX into the coin the bill names. Ripio links buy or cash out local money in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Colombia. • Pays bills itself over x402 through AbaPay: Nigerian airtime and electricity, and airtime in 140+ countries. The chat shows who has paid. Unused money goes back to the people who paid. • An agent pays a share with one command. Earmark pays for its own model and a backup node per call through buy.
