Overview
Cobrador is a Telegram collections agent for small Argentine sellers (Instagram/WhatsApp shops, freelancers, small merchants). Their customers pay the way they already do, a bank transfer in pesos, and the agent turns every payment into savings on Celo mainnet.
The problem. Sellers in Argentina get paid in pesos and lose value to inflation every week. Protecting that money means logging into an exchange, buying dollars and withdrawing, paying spread at every step, every time. Most sellers just don't.
How it works
- Charge: the seller tells the agent in plain Spanish what they are selling and for how much. The agent registers the sale and hands out a payment destination: the seller's own Ripio CVU (Ripio Ramps API) or a ramp.ripio.com link with the amount prefilled.
- Detect: Ripio converts the pesos to wARS and delivers them to the agent wallet on Celo. The agent sees the payment in the Ripio API (matched to the sale by the exact peso amount) and on-chain when the wARS land.
- Settle: in deterministic code, not by the LLM. An RFQ quote on Textile FX swaps wARS → USD₮ on Celo mainnet, and the USD₮ goes to the seller's wallet.
- Report: fixed-text Telegram messages ("payment received for " → "sent to your wallet" with Celoscan links), so amounts and hashes are never hallucinated.
Celo stack: Ripio wARS on mainnet · Ripio on-ramp (link + Ramps API with CVU, order polling and signed webhooks) · Textile FX RFQ swaps · gas paid in USD₮ via fee abstraction (the wallet never needs CELO) · ERC-8021 attribution on every transaction · ERC-8004 identity (agent #9983).
Guardrails: owner-only Telegram channel; money moves only in code on payment events; tools that move or redirect funds need an explicit confirmation button; idempotent per event; per-settlement cap; USD₮ gas buffer so the final transfer never reverts; event data is treated as data, never as instructions.
Status: settlements are live on Celo mainnet from the agent wallet (see the README for Celoscan links). The Ripio Ramps API integration is tested end to end in Ripio's sandbox; production access, which gives every seller their own CVU with wARS delivered on Celo, is the next step together with multi-seller onboarding.
