Arbolito

In Buenos Aires, an "arbolito" is the guy on the street who changes your dollars. Arbolito is a digital one: an AI money changer that lives in MiniPay and on Telegram, live on Celo mainnet.

The problem

Across LatAm, people price their lives in pesos and reais but save and get paid in dollars. Converting means picking among several rates (official, MEP, CCL, blue, crypto), paying a spread at every hop through the dollar, and trusting whoever quoted you. A Western Union transfer or a street exchange gives you a number with no way to check it.

What Arbolito does

• Ask in plain words, by text or voice, in Spanish, Portuguese or English. For example, "cambiá 100 dólares a pesos" or "manda 200 reais pra Lucía".
• Best executable route. Arbolito compares Uniswap v3 on Celo with Textile FX RFQ quotes and converts into Ripio's wFIAT stablecoins (wARS, wBRL, wCOP, wMXN) or back to USD₮/USDC/USA₮.
• The user signs once in MiniPay. Money never leaves their own wallet. Every price has a guaranteed minimum; if it moves, nothing executes.
• A verifiable receipt for every trade. A ProofBundle records the route, the rate, and the references (official, MEP, CCL, blue, crypto, Western Union). Its hash is anchored onchain in our ArbolitoReceipts contract. Anyone can recompute the fingerprint at /r/.
• Autonomous rules within hard limits. Monthly sends to family, optionally converted, and payday splits are drafted in the chat, signed once, and run by Arbolito's operator through the ArbolitoGuard contract. Caps per transaction and per day are enforced onchain, and one signature pauses everything.

Four surfaces, one agent

1. MiniPay Mini App (arbolito-livid.vercel.app/app): change, send, receipts and rules. Gas is paid in stablecoins (CIP-64 fee abstraction).

2. Telegram bot (@arbolitoo_bot): the same agent in chat. It hands off to MiniPay to sign.

3. Arbolito Desk: a market maker on Textile FX. It quotes RFQs on six corridors (wARS, wBRL, wCOP, wMXN, USDC, USA₮ vs USD₮) from its own capped inventory. Its pricing is built on top of an unmodified Stitch:

   • a multi-source fair value with outlier rejection, and a fail-closed circuit breaker
   • devaluation-aware peso spreads and carry-aware inventory targets (it holds less of a currency that has been losing value)
   • dispersion-scaled buy caps
   • a rebalancer that never trades against its own quotes
   • an LLM risk officer that can only pause, never price, with a code-enforced cap on how long it can pause

4. "vs Western Union" through buy: every 6 hours Arbolito rents a browser over x402 through buy (≈ US$ 0.004 per read, paid in USD₮ from its tagged payer 0xD07b5BD9C86eFB042af3343a9e4dae646f1f3e58). It reads Western Union's live USD→ARS and USD→BRL rates, so quotes and receipts show what the user saves against it.

• Ripio wFIAT (wARS, wBRL, wCOP, wMXN) as the currencies people actually hold.
• Textile FX, both as taker routing and as a maker desk.
• Uniswap v3 on Celo.
• MiniPay as the wallet.
• Stablecoin gas (CIP-64).
• ERC-8004 identity: agentId 9976, registered from the agent wallet.
• x402 paid calls through buy.
• ERC-8021 attribution: tag celo_e054d92430a5 on every transaction Arbolito sends.

Honest status (2026-10-28)

• Live on mainnet: conversions, sends, anchored receipts, the desk, Western Union reads, and autonomous rules.
• Users so far: the first conversions are the founder's own. Pilot users in Argentina and Brazil are being recruited now, and the bot is open to everyone.
• Desk P&L: −0.64% on 160 USD₮. Spreads earned are slightly positive; the loss is inventory marked down as the peso and real weakened.
• MiniPay Discover: the listing is in progress. Until then, the app opens through MiniPay's test page, or as a full demo in any browser at /app?mock=1.

Who it's for

People in Argentina and Brazil who earn or save in dollars and spend in pesos or reais, and the families they send money to. A MiniPay user who wants the street rate with no corner, no cash and a receipt they can check.
