Overview
- What did we build? AidFlow is a smart food redistribution and failure-aware dispatch platform that connects food donors, NGOs, shelters, and delivery riders to distribute surplus food efficiently.
- Why did we build it? To reduce food wastage, prioritize shelters with urgent needs, prevent unnecessary deliveries, and handle delivery failures through smart allocation and recovery.
- For whom did we build it?
- Food donors: Restaurants, hotels, and college messes.
- NGOs and shelters: To manage food demand and supplies.
- Delivery riders and volunteers: To collect and deliver food.
- Operations coordinators: To monitor and manage deliveries.
- Beneficiaries: People facing food insecurity and communities affected by emergencies.
- What is our main USP? Our Smart Red–Yellow–Green Zone System classifies shelters by their supply needs, while expiry-aware dispatch and failure recovery help ensure food reaches the right shelter at the right time.
