What a Battle
looks like

Every two weeks, the same five projects and the same clock for everyone themes ahead, ten hours to ship, live scoring, final judging.

Before the contest

themes announced

Themes drop a week ahead (“Next: AI Agents”). Teams of 1–4 register, and a solo division runs alongside the team division.

Let the Battle begin

five projects revealed

Five projects revealed to everyone at once — brief, acceptance criteria, point values. You see them, the clock starts.

10 hours of building

ship & score live

Build in your IDE, scaffold with the CLI, submit as you finish. Provisional scoring in under 60s moves the leaderboard live.

Final submission countdown

final judging

Submissions close. Deeper AI judging over two hours can adjust tiers, then the leaderboard locks and rating changes apply.

Compete

Build Battles. Five projects. Ten hours. One global rating.

Every two weeks, a new contest. Five random projects revealed at start. Ten hours to ship as many as you can with your team. The AI Judge scores you live, your rating moves with the leaderboard, and the top auto-qualifies for premium hackathons.

Built from everything you ship.

Every Build Battle, every Certify project, every hackathon, not a count of events joined, but a measure of how well you've shipped across all of them.

Competitive coding, for the AI era

Competitive programming gave a generation of coders a place to show up every weekend, solve the same problems under the same clock, and watch their rating climb. It turned practice into a sport.

But the game changed. Building today is less about algorithms on a whiteboard and more about shipping real software with AI. Build Battles bring that same arena to this era: a fresh contest every two weeks, judged on what you actually ship.

The ratings compound. The leaderboard becomes the resume.
