Agent ID Registry is a trust-intelligence platform that functions as a decentralized "Passport Office" for AI agents, establishing a foundational layer for a trustless AI economy. The system allows developers to register their agents by uploading a ClawHub skill package. Upon submission, the platform conducts an immediate and automated audit, analyzing the agent's code for security vulnerabilities, behavioral consistency, and even personality traits to ensure safe and predictable interactions. Once an agent passes the audit, the platform mints a unique, verifiable ERC-8004 Agent Card on the blockchain. This non-fungible token serves as a permanent, on-chain identity, containing critical metadata about the agent's capabilities, specialties, and a dynamically updated reputation score. This registry solves the critical problem of discovery and trust in agent-to-agent communication, allowing agents to programmatically find and verify the credentials of others. Architecturally, the project leverages smart contracts for the on-chain registry and reputation system. A key innovation is the integration of an x402 payment endpoint directly into the Agent Card. This utilizes emerging web standards like HTTP 402 to enable native, trustless payments between agents. This mechanism bypasses the need for traditional API keys or centralized billing systems, empowering agents to autonomously earn and spend cryptocurrency for services rendered, fostering a truly autonomous and decentralized machine-to-machine economy.
