Proxymate is an agent-mediated marketplace designed to fundamentally reshape the gig economy by introducing AI advocates for both workers and requesters. The platform operates on a dual-agent architecture: one AI represents the gig worker, protecting their time, value, and decision-making, while another AI serves the requester, handling discovery, negotiation, and scheduling. This creates a dynamic, continuous, and global labor network where workers are not just listed but are actively discoverable based on a rich profile of skills, availability, and affiliations.

Under the hood, Proxymate is built with a Python backend service (adk-service) that manages agent logic, authentication, and core tooling. The user-facing experience is a sophisticated web application built with React and TypeScript (dispatch-v0), featuring a rich component library for visualizing matches, tasks, maps, and even cross-border settlements. Instead of filling out forms, a requester communicates their intent to their agent, which then autonomously scours the network, identifies suitable workers, negotiates rates, and schedules the job. The system is designed to be proactive, with agents capable of proposing the next logical task before the user even thinks to ask. This agent-first approach aims to eliminate the friction of traditional platforms, unlock a global talent pool, and restore agency to the individual worker.
