Beyond the Form – AI Hackathon
Governments and big institutions still mean endless forms, PDFs, and confusing procedures. Let’s fix that.
Challenge 1 - The Last Form You’ll Ever Fill
Every year, people and businesses pour countless hours into the same soul-crushing ritual: copying the same
personal and customer data into endless PDFs, portals, and online forms. The form doesn’t care that you’ve
entered your address a thousand times before.
Your mission: reimagine how a human provides the information a bureaucratic form demands. Instead of a
person bending to the form, how could the form bend to the person?
Angles you might explore (pick one, mix them, or ignore them entirely):
- Conversation-first: turn a messy chat, voice note, or email into a perfectly filled form.
- Data once, reuse forever: capture someone’s data a single time and let an agent deploy it across any form, portal, or institution.
- The invisible middleman: an AI that handles the back-and-forth communication with the bureaucracy, so the human never sees the form at all.
We care about the idea. It does not need to be technically feasible, production-ready, or even fully working. A
compelling mockup, a bold concept, or a half-working demo that sparks imagination all count. Surprise us.
Challenge 2 - From Conversation to Completed Paperwork
A business receives a stream of customers, each needing the same category of paperwork completed — official
PDF forms, institutional portals, online applications — all requiring largely the same personal and customer data,
entered by hand, over and over.
Your mission: design a system that collects a customer’s data once, through the most human interface you can
imagine, and turns it into correctly filled forms and completed online submissions — with as little manual entry as
possible.
Concretely, a strong entry might tackle one or more of these:
- Intelligent intake: gather customer data via chat, voice, uploaded documents, or a smart questionnaire that never asks the same thing twice.
- Form filling: map that data onto real PDF forms (including AcroForm fields) or web forms, accurately and repeatably.
- Communication automation: handle the follow-up — emails, portal submissions, requests for missing info — with a human only approving, not typing.
- Reuse & scale: store what’s known about a customer so the next form takes seconds, not hours.
Feasibility is welcome but not required. A convincing prototype, a clickable mockup, or even a sharp concept with
a clear “here’s how it would work” story are all valid. We want to see the smartest possible path from messy
human input to finished paperwork
